Lean in close to a flower and a whole other world turns up. The Sunsets and Flowers 2027 Flower Calendar is that moment repeated twelve times on your wall. Heather Smith photographs petals wearing their dew like jewellery, a dahlia bud spiralled into a perfect pattern, the dusty stamens of a poppy and a sunflower that has clearly just woken up.
Each month is a full A3 page with a full-width photograph across the top of the page, a caption naming the flower and a month heading coloured to pick up the tones in the bloom. Below that sits a clean, generous grid. Weeks start on Sunday, weekends are marked in red, and Australian public holidays are printed in. The squares are big enough for the whole household's diary, including the bin night nobody ever remembers.
Dark backdrops sit behind the blooms and every page is black, so the colours look lit from within. The back cover shows a thumbnail of each photograph in the calendar, with a QR code to scan for more. It makes a good gift for the gardener who has everything except a calendar worth looking at.
